Day 13e: Walking onward anyway … (04/27/2019)
There will be times in your life when you choose to champion a Moral Cause* and are met with ridicule or rejection … Champion that Moral Cause anyway.
There will be times in your life when you set forth to do a Great Good* for others and are met with snide denigration or doubting naysayers … Do that Great Good anyway.
There will be times in your life when you are walking a Noble Road*; a road much less traveled — boldly treading down a path of selfless kindness or smoothly sauntering along a way of courageous gentleness — and are met with fear-filled warnings or legal obstructions (often placed before you “for your own good”) … Continue onward, my dear Friends, and walk that Noble Road anyway.
“This is what I have come to know: That I am ever I. That though my Soul might sometimes seem to be a darkened forest — and that though I am ever tempted to believe that my known self will never be more than the smallest clearing therein, that wonderful Beings, gods if you will: gods great and kind and noble, ever reside in that wonderful woodland. And this as well have I come to comprehend: That I am the one who must repeatedly renew the courage required to let those same spirits come and live anew within me; that I am the one who must never allow the pettiness or the greed or the fears of mere mankind to put anything over me; that I and I alone am the one who must ever try to summon them forth in my darkest of hours, and submit wholeheartedly to their loving will; a will that wants nothing more than to care deeply for all around me as the brothers & sisters they truly are, and in that caring call their own inner divinity to the fore.” ~ inspired by D. H. Lawrence
*With veganism (i.e. animal liberation, primarily via the swift & bold dismantling of the animal agriculture industry) being by far the greatest and most needed thereof.
