Day 13a: Our greatest of Fortunes … (04/27/2019)
After a relatively restless night spent trying in vain to sleep on the cold hard floor of a classroom in the St. Georg Catholic Church just south of Freiburg (a space that was almost reluctantly offered at day’s end by that chapel’s surprisingly suspicious priest), I set forth early the next morning and soon made my way under heavy cloud-cover into the lovely wine hills of that region. The beauty of the valley I was traversing soon became obscured by the foreboding rainstorm bearing steadily down upon me from behind, and yet as proved so often to be the case during this Grand Adventure, shelter was serendipitously provided at exactly the moment it appeared to be most needed … 🙂
“Our current reality is nothing more than a perfect reflection of the lesson(s) we most need to comprehend. All our selfish imperfections are merely challenges to be transcended; all our trials & inconveniences mere opportunities to courageously re-member our truest of Selves. Behind each of our deepest fears ever resides our greatest of fortunes.” ~ via Robin Sharma
