Day 05c: Setting forth Anew … (04/19/19)

And so it came to pass that I was indeed greatly blessed — blessed to be told in no uncertain terms by my kidney stone that it was not for me to walk a Fall/Winter pilgrimage, blessed to be offered a haven of refuge in which to soak in solitude and write the three tomes which I had lightly regretted not having yet written, and blessed once more the following spring when it became clear that it was time to set forth anew; that it was time to return (via a gifted train ticket) to the site of my first attempt’s painful demise, take a deep breath while smiling deeply, and return to The Way once more … 🙂

(The full-bloomed attached image below was taken on April 19, 2019 — my 2nd attempt at the pilgrimage’s 5th Day — in the town of Vollmaringen; located just a few kilometers north of Hochdorf, where my kidney stone had waylaid my Walk just 7 short months prior.)

“And why is it that Peace Pilgrims are so often called to leave behind fast friends and friendly confines? Well, as it turns out (and UP), there are two very good reasons we choose to do so …

01) First of all, Peace Pilgrims ever seek to do the greatest Good possible in the time we have been given, and as such strive to waste as little of that time as possible on those who repeatedly reject or denigrate or ridicule or dismiss our common message of selfless LOVE. A tree is indeed always known by its fruit, and as such when the selfless message we Peace Pilgrims share is not openly embraced by others (&/or inspires them to evoke feelings of sadness or anger or irritation — LOVE’s opposites) then it is both wise & good for us to set forth and seek others who might be more amenable to enlivening the Truths we have to give. Furthermnore, our friends and family members tend to be the ones most certain that they ‘know us best’, and as such are also the ones by far least likely to accept or even appreciate the newly awakened people we have chosen to become. And this is why it is almost always necessary to resolutely yet lovingly leave these folks behind — to honor the less-than-Loving choices to which they are choosing to adhere, and to seek the one-in-1000 others out there who are even now both ready and willing to embrace the Wisdoms we have to share.

02) That having been said, we also choose to leave these loved ones for their own benefit. You see, while it is true that the seeds of all fresh Truths are most potently sown when the sharer thereof is personally present and the hearers thereof can witness him or her actively embodying the same, it is just as true that those same seeds cannot hope to vibrantly sprout until that same sharer withdraws and allows those same hearers to nurture his or her teachings by bringing the same courageously into being — fully on their own; without the comforting presence of anyone perceived to understand or support the same. Young birds cannot fly without leaping from the nest of their own will & volition. So too is it with any humans desiring lives truly more peaceful &/or enlightened.” ~ excerpt from Day 4.5 of my pilgrim’s journal
