Day 04a: All that truly matters … (09/12/18)

“Well, the going is much more circuitous than I had imagined, and yet I have arrived in Mötzingen (about 12 km southwest of Herrenberg) and will be flowing onward towards Vollmarringen and beyond later this evening … It has already been an AMAZING adventure these past three+ days — days filled with Wonder and Peace and Fatigue and Laughter (often not in that order). Interestingly enough, in addition to the usual stresses that all long-distance pilgrimages entail, it seems that for every 20 km my current path calls for on the map, there are an additional 5-10 km that I end up walking as well — following errant directions, wandering in circles, traipsing through neighborhoods looking for folks who might get me reoriented towards South &/or West, “intuitively exploring” (i.e. getting lost in) the woods etc etc etc — and yet The Way IS being walked nevertheless, and The Message IS being relayed with humble boldness all the same. And that, in the end as well as in the beginning, is all that really matters.” ~ entry from Day 04 of my Pilgrim’s Journal
