Explaining it nice & simple … (11/07/2017)

“Are you confused by what is going on in the Middle East?  Well, let me explain … The United States still supports the Iraqi government against ISIS.  They don’t like ISIS, though ISIS is still directly supported by Saudi Arabia, who the U.S. likes quite a lot … In addition, the United States doesn’t like President Assad in Syria, and directly supports the rebels fighting against him – but not ISIS, who are also fighting against him.  The U.S. also doesn’t like Iran, but Iran supports the Iraqi government against ISIS too … So what it all boils down to is that some of America’s friends support America’s enemies, and some of America’s enemies are their friends, and some of America’s enemies are fighting against their other enemies – who they want to lose, though they don’t want their enemies who are fighting those enemies to win.  Because of the people they want to defeat are defeated, they might be replaced by people they like even less … And all this was essentially started by the U.S. invading a country to drive out terrorists who weren’t even there until after they went in to drive them out … Now do you understand?” ~ via Aubrey Bailey
