Page 219 … dealing with sin
“The way we deal with sin is with spiritual discernment”
Well, actually, this is how Paul wanted us to deal with sin, my Friend. Jesus, on the other hand, wanted us to deal with sin by simply stopping our sinning – something which requires us to A) stop worrying about our own salvation, … B) stop judging the sins of others, … and C) get out into our neighborhoods & our communities and actively Care for somebody; preferably a stranger or someone we happen to dislike (or at least someone we find somewhat annoying) … For this is Jesus’ Way, this is Jesus’ Truth, and this is the embodiment of Jesus’ Life!
“A new commandment I give to you: that you Love one another. Just as I have Loved you, so you also are to Love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples: if you show Love towards one another … Be perfect [in LOVE] therefore, just as [the LOVE] of your Father in Heaven is perfect … There is no fear in Love, but perfect Love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not reached perfection in Love … Show mercy to others, just as your heavenly Father shows them mercy.” ~ Jesus Christ (John 13:34-35 + Matthew 5:48 + 1 John 4:18 + Luke 6:36)
