Page 246 … Jesus & Paul; water & oil

Thereafter you state that, “any follower of Jesus Christ is commanded to ‘love others’ and treat them as we would want to be treated”, and yet you then follow that sentence with a reference to 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 – stating that, “according to the Bible, a person living in homosexual sin ‘will not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven’”, and to Romans 1:32 – stating that “those ‘who approve of those who do such things’ will be held just as guilty.”

My dear Friend, while this statement’s first sentence does indeed resonate well with the teachings of Jesus, the latter accurately reflects only the misguided beliefs of Paul.  And as such, my question to you is this:  How in the world can you still not see that these theologies directly contradict one another?!?!?! … Are you actually saying that it is a Loving thing to condemn others for being who they are or even for who they are choosing to be – even when those same choices happen to bear the Good Fruit of Peace & Love & Harmony?!? … Are you actually saying that it is a Loving action to damn those same behaviors with an eternity of suffering in Hell?!? … Are you actually saying that it is a Loving belief to worship a God who would ever do or even allow such a horrific injustice to take place?!?! … Is your understanding of LOVE actually that limited, Lucy? … Surely not!!!

Indeed, if your own son were to violate a rule in your own household, surely you wouldn’t punish him for eternity for that “sin”, would you?  Wouldn’t you only allow him to receive a consequence that was commensurate with his “crime” – wouldn’t you allow him to reap what he has sown, but only what he has sown? … Of course you would!   In fact, I like to think that even if your own son were to turn out to be homosexual, you wouldn’t throw him out of your house the way your version of God would throw him out of His – right? … Of course you wouldn’t – because you are Loving Parent, and thus would treat him just like the father in the Parable of the Prodigal Son treated his sinning son – just like the Father who celebrated his Love for that son and welcomed him home even before he repented for his sins (see Luke 15:11-32 – specifically verse 20, where the Father forgave his sinful son “while he was still far off”, not knowing whether that son was going to beg forgiveness for his wrongdoings or not!) … Please read it, my Friend.  It’s all right there in your Bible!
