You then quote Matthew 12:36 to say that “every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the Day of Judgment”, and yet you never clarify what this “Day of Judgment” is – or when it will come – or who will then do the judging. I mean, it won’t be God doing the judging (John 5:22) and it won’t be Jesus doing the judging either (John 12:47), that much is clear. Jesus does say that “the Word” will do the judging (John 12:48) and yet The Word is not an entity unto itself, meaning that Jesus must be referring to the Logos; the Divine Wisdom within all sentient beings that drives and regulates the law of action & consequence – the conscience-driven Biblical principle that we reap what we sow; and only what we sow (see Hosea 10:12-13, Jeremiah 17:10, Matthew 7:1-2, Mark 4:24 & Luke 6:38) – which of course means that this verse has nothing at all to do with the cruel torments of Hell and its eternal damnation whatsoever, but rather comments on the consequences we will all – homosexuals & heterosexuals alike – reap from our actions in this lifetime!

We then see the passage from Matthew 12:40-42 where Jesus talks about Jonah & the “whale” (actually the Greek word ketous; Strong’s #2785 meaning “sea monster” or “huge fish”) … Yes, here again we see Jesus talking about judgment, and thus the same points apply that I have already mentioned above; most importantly that – for Jesus at least – judgment was not a punishment administered by God (see John 5:22 + Matthew 5:48 + 1 John 4:18), but was rather a reference to the suffering that comes to all of us whenever we choose to live for ourselves and our own benefit instead of living for others & for theirs. Indeed, this passage never once shows Jesus judging anyone or supporting judgment in any way … Indeed, it actually has him mentioning the men of Nineveh judging & “the queen of the south” judging, and yet then saying that one greater than those judgers has come – namely, one who does not judge at all (see John 8:15) … And besides, this verse obviously has nothing to do with any vision or belief in a post-mortem Hell, if for no other reason than Jonas goes into the whale alive and comes out of it still alive as well!
