Page 341 … God of judgment; God of LOVE

You then try to hide your bigotry behind your Bible (& your God) by saying, “all I have done is quote what the Word of God says … Are you calling God a bigot?  They are His words, not mine.”

Well, my Friend, as I have pointed out to you many times already, the shoe that fits is the shoe that must be worn.   And in the case at hand, that shoe is the following simple Truth – namely, that if God does turn out to be as you say He is; if He does turn out to be the petty Old Testament tyrant of wrath & judgment (and thus not the all-Loving Father of Jesus Christ), then yes, He is quite obviously a most bigoted God indeed!

Of course, the Bible itself gives you another, far different vision of God to worship if you wish to do so … And thank Heavens for that! … (literally)

“I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel … It will not be like the covenant that I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt … But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. No longer shall they teach one another, or say to each other, ‘Know the Lord’, for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, says the Lord; for I will forgive their iniquity, and remember their sin no more” ~ Jeremiah 31:31-34

“A new commandment I give to you, that you Love one another.  Just as I have Loved, so you also are to Love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples:  if you show Love for one another … Be perfect [in LOVE] therefore, just as [the LOVE] of your Father in Heaven is perfect … There is no fear in Love, but perfect Love casts out fear.  For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not reached perfection in Love … Be merciful, just as your heavenly Father is merciful … [And as such] let only [she] without sin cast the first stone.” ~ John 13:34-35 + Matthew 5:48 + 1 John 4:18 + Luke 6:36 + John 8:7
