Page 382 … the absolute Truth

“The bottom line is that either you believe the Bible represents absolute Truth or you don’t, and if you don’t, that means it is now up to you and each person to determine what Truth is for yourself — thereby making yourself God.”

Hmmmmm … OK Lucy, if this is so, then how do you reconcile the Bible itself telling us to judge its contents for ourselves (1 Thessalonians 5:21), or Jesus Christ telling us to trust our conscience (the “Advocate Within” of John 14:26 & John 15:26) in all important matters?   Indeed, if we aren’t allowed to test the Scriptures ourselves to see which interpretations bear the Bad Fruit of anger & fear & discord (and which bear the Good Fruit of Love & Peace & Harmony), then who is to tell us how to reconcile the Old Testaments laws with Jesus’ radical reforms thereof (see pages 176-181 herein)?   And who is to tell us which Gospel is the correct one to follow, Paul’s or Jesus’ (see pages 202-203 herein)?   And who is to tell us which Jesus is the real one – the Jesus of the Gospels or the “Jesus” of Revelation (see pages 207-209 herein)?  … Truly my Friend, do you have all these answers?   And if so, where did you get them?   Must we all now come to you for guidance on how to read the Bible?  And must we all come to you for guidance on how to “know Jesus?  And must we all now come to you for guidance on how to worship God? … Shall we give this new sect of Christianity (denomination #33,001 at last count) a name?

Shall we call it “Lucyism”?

“But you are not to be called Rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all students.  And call no one your father on earth, for you have one Father – the one in Heaven.  Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one instructor, the Christ.” ~ Jesus Christ (Matthew 23:8-10)

P.S.  In addition, please consider the following verse as well, where Paul once again inadvertently gives himself away as an anti-Christian messenger – “For though you might have ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers. Indeed, in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel.” ~ 1 Corinthians 4:15
