Page 418 … Christ as God
“Most important of all, Christ was God incarnate (in the flesh) here on Earth.”
Hmmmm … Maybe so, of course, and yet it might be important for you & yours to realize that Jesus himself did not believe that he was anything of the sort, and that quite a few other Biblical authors didn’t think so either … Consider the Word of God:
“Why do you call me Good? No one is Good but God alone?” ~ Jesus (Mark 10:18)
“I do not accept glory from human beings.” ~ Jesus Christ (John 5:41)
“My Teaching is not mine but His who sent me … Whoever Believes in me Believes not in me but in Him who sent me.” ~ Jesus Christ (John 7:16 & 12:44)
“Yet I do not seek my own glory … Very truly I tell You, whoever emulates my WORD will never see death … If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me.” ~ Jesus Christ (John 8:50-54)
“On that day you will Know that I am in my Father, and that you are in me, and that I am in You.” ~ Jesus Christ (John 14:20)
“Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with deeds of power, wonders and signs THAT GOD DID through him” ~ Acts 2:22
“Be completely humble and gentle … There is one body and one Spirit … ONE GOD and one Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. But to each one of us Grace has been given as Christ apportioned it … to prepare us for works of Service.” ~ Ephesians 4:1-4
P.S. And besides, if Jesus was indeed God incarnate here on Earth, wouldn’t it make sense for you & yours to adhere to his teachings, instead of those professed by a man (Paul) who never once met Jesus in the flesh and never once heard him preach?
“As you go, proclaim this Good News: ‘The Kingdom of Heaven is [already] at hand … And because of the increase of lawlessness, the Love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures [in Love] to the end will be saved.’ And this Good News of the Kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the world … and then the end will come.” ~ Jesus Christ (Matthew 10:7 + Matthew 24:12-14)
