Page 446 … to have His Glory
“But I know you want control so you can have His glory, because you say you live like Jesus — spreading love and telling everyone sin is OK and that there is no price to pay for sin.”
Nope – wrong again, my dear Friend. And again, wrong in a way that I have already clearly & calmly explained to you so many times already in this thread alone! … (sigh) … No matter, I will do so again for you now … Please consider the following facts:
Initially, let it be once again known that I have chosen to live as a Follower of The Way of Christ, and that I have been doing so for the past eleven+ years of my life. What this means is that I have taken the teachings of Jesus Christ in the Gospels and have chosen to live them literally – each & every one of them; not watering them down with cop-outs to personal comfort; not dampening their majesty using the contradictory teachings of Paul; not mitigating their awesomeness by conveniently turning every now and then to the archaic ramblings of the Old Testament … I live them all exactly as they are written. I have tested them all over many years, in many hundreds of communities, and in many thousands of encounters … I have seen the Great Fruit that Jesus’ teachings of perfect Love bear whenever they are interpreted Love-fully and then enlivened courageously, and I seek to enliven them as such each & every day of my own life. I am not perfect in doing so, of course, and yet that is The Way I have chosen to Walk & Live & Be nonetheless.
This means that I have no home of my own … This means that I have no money of my own … This means that I live to serve all those around me and never ask to be served by them … This means that I defend the innocent from persecution (as in the case at hand – namely, the homosexuals who are being persecuted by you & yours) … This means that I champion a LOVE that is truly & divinely “perfect” – which means that it is a Love that knows absolutely no judgment (John 5:22 + John 8:15 + John 12:47), that inflicts absolutely no punishment (1 John 4:18), that has absolutely no end (Matthew 18:22), and that entertains absolutely no exceptions (Matthew 5:40-48) … And this also means that I accept no glory for myself at all. I have changed my birth-name to deflect all praise, and don’t even attach my currently adopted moniker directly to anything I personally say or write or do. All praise goes to where it is due (namely, the “Holy Spirit” of the “heavenly Father” that resides both within and all around us) – and while I can never be exactly sure where that due is to be found, I do know that it most certainly is not to be found in my self.
