First of all Lucy, both the Old Testament (Isaiah 64:6) and the “apostle” Paul (Romans 3:23) note quite clearly that we are all sinners – and this includes every single preacher in the world – man or woman; gay or straight. As such, if you are going to refuse to hear Oliver Clyde Allen preach because of the sins that you assume he is committing in the privacy of his own home, then to avoid being hypocritically bigoted you are going to have to be consistent and refuse to go hear all other preachers as well! Essentially, if you are going to refuse to go to Oliver’s church, then you are going to have to stop going to church at all! … Are you willing to abandon your hypocrisy and make that vow at this time?
Secondly: Lucy, how many times must I remind you of what the Bible says about this issue? How many times must I remind you of the following fact: that – at least according to the holy Scriptures – HOMOSEXUALITY itself IS NOT A SIN! … And since being gay is not a sin, Oliver Clyde Allen is not “disrespecting the Word of God” at all by being true to the way he was born … Indeed, not only is he not disrespecting the Word of God, he is an ordained Christian minister who actually preaches the Word of God! How prejudiced of you to make such false claims about him & his, my Friend! And how arrogant of you to dismiss him merely for being born with a sexual orientation that makes you uncomfortable!
At this point, I humbly suggest that you repent and amend your ways, Lucy… I humbly suggest that you set aside your outdated (and openly bigoted) church dogma and choose to follow The Way of Jesus Christ instead!
