Page 602 … Rising from the Dead
“The Holy Spirit raised [Jesus] from the dead so that we may have eternal life with him.”
Actually, whether he was literally raised from the dead or not, Jesus himself proclaimed quite clearly and quite often that we are not to worship him to attain eternal life in the hereafter, but are rather are to follow him (by emulating his Way of selfless, humble, non-judgmental LOVE for others – all others), and that we are to do so to attain entrance into his Kingdom of Heaven in this lifetime, not a later one (see Matthew 10:7 + Luke 17:20-21 + all of Jesus’ parables, which always & without exception ultimately speak of the Kingdom of Heaven in the present tense).
“Why do you call me Good? No one is Good but God alone … I do not accept glory from others … If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me … And my Father is glorified by this: That you bear much fruit and become my disciples … And by this will everyone know that you are my disciples: when you show Love towards one another … If you understand these things, blessed are you while you do them.” ~ Jesus Christ (Mark 10:18 + John 5:41 + John 8:54 + John 15:8 + John 13:35 + John 13:17)
