Page 650 … Why Jesus came

“You say [Jesus] didn’t die for our sins.  [If that is true, then] why did he come?”

Well, even though I do have my own theories (that are just as valid as your own) as to why he came, far be it from me to answer for Jesus as to why he did so.  Why don’t we simply allow Jesus himself to tell us why he commenced his minsitry, shall we? …

“I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance [Greek = metanoia; Strong’s #3340 = to completely alter one’s life by fully altering one’way of behaving towards others] … For the Son of Man comes to seek and save that which has been lost … Even as the Son of Man came not to be ministered to by others, but rather to serve them … Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven.  Whoever becomes humble like this young child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.” ~ Jesus Christ (Mark 2:17 + Luke 19:10 + Matthew 20:28 + Matthew 18:3-4)

“And as you go, proclaim this Good News: The Kingdom of Heaven is [even now] at hand … And because of the increase of lawlessness, the LOVE of many will grow cold. And yet the one who endures [in LOVE] to the end will be saved.  And this Good News of the Kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the world … For I have set you an example, that you also should do for others exactly as I have done to you … If you understand these things, blessed are you while you DO them … And on that day you will know that I am in my Father, and that you are in me, and that I am in you … So I give you a new commandment: that you Love one another. Just as I have loved you, so also should you Love one another.  By this everyone will know that you are my disciples: when you show Love towards one another.” ~  Jesus Christ (Matthew 10:7 + Matthew 24:12-14 + John 13:15-17 + John 14:20 + John 13:34-35)

“The Kingdom of God is not coming with things that can be seen … For in fact, the Kingdom of God is already within you … Not everyone who merely says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but only the one who DOES the will of my Father in Heaven … Be perfect [in LOVE] therefore, just as [the LOVE] of your Father in Heaven is perfect … There is no fear in Love, but perfect Love casts out fear.  For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not reached perfection in Love.” ~ Jesus Christ (Luke 17:20-21 + Matthew 7:21 + Matthew 5:48) & 1 John 4:18
