Page 741 … When someone is your Lord
“Jesus is my Savior and He is my Lord. If someone is your Lord you do what they say.”
Hmmm … Well, if this is indeed the case, my Friend – if Jesus Christ truly is your Lord, and if you truly believe that you should do what he says, then why in the world are you NOT doing so with regards to your homosexual fellow sinners?!? Why are you placing the outdated (and often immoral) teachings of the Old Testament and the twisted (and often delusional) teachings of Paul over the Word & the Way of Jesus Christ?!?
Frankly, Dan, it seems to me that if you truly were someone who “does what their Lord says” – and that if Jesus truly is that Lord, then you would abide in his words & follow his teachings & obey his commandments & emulate his example over all others … Right?
My dear Friend, Jesus would never condone discriminating against anyone else – much less wrongfully damning the innocent to an eternity in Hell, and he even went out of his way in the Gospels to tell us all to do the exact opposite … So, my Friend, if you truly do want to do what Jesus wants you to do, will you please explain to me why you are refusing to do so in the case at hand?
“Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven; give, and it will be given to you … You hypocrite! Take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck of sawdust from your brother’s eye…. How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, take the speck out of your eye,’ when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own? … You hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup [of others], but inside are full of greed and self-indulgence … First clean the inside of your own cup, so that the outside might also become truly clean … Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Whoever becomes humble like this young child is the greatest in the Kingdom … Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.” ~ Jesus Christ (Luke 6:37-42 + Matthew 23:25-26 + Matthew18:3-4 + John 8:7)
