Page 744 … Jesus in our midst
“And yet the truth is that Jesus is always in our midst. When we make decisions we should be conscious of that fact. It would give us honesty and integrity.” … Fair enough, my Friend. And yet if this is indeed the case, why are you refusing to follow his Way? If this is indeed the case, why are you & yours choosing to adhere to so many verses of the Bible that directly contradict both the underlying values & the specific content of the teachings of Jesus Christ?
“Do not judge, so that you may not be judged … Why do you see the speck in your neighbor’s eye, but do not notice the log in your own? … You hypocrite! First take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly enough to remove the speck from your neighbor’s … You hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup [of others], but inside are full of greed and self-indulgence … First clean the inside of your own cup, so that the outside might also become truly clean … Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like children, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Whoever becomes humble like this young child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven … Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.” ~ Jesus Christ (Matthew 7:1-2 + Matthew 23:25-26 + Matthew18:3-4 + John 8:7)
“Be perfect [in LOVE] therefore, just as [the LOVE] of your Father in Heaven is perfect … There is no fear in Love, but perfect Love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not reached perfection in Love.” ~ Matthew 5:48 + 1 John 4:18
You then state, “There are Scriptures to read”.
Well, Dan, I think you would almost have to agree that far more importantly than merely reading the Scriptures is having the humility and the courage to FOLLOW THEM – especially those mentioned immediately above!
