Page 908 … The wages of sin
You next mention Romans 6:23 as well, which reads – “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Even though this verse has actually no direct relevance to this thread whatsoever (again – seeing as how Oliver Clyde Allen & his husband are both devout Christians, and again — seeing as how neither one of them is engaged in any kind of sin; at least as far as you know), it might be worth noting that Paul had a very different idea from Jesus with regards to the salvation to which you allude here. And without digressing by going into detail on how this was indeed the case, it is possibly enough for you & yours to simply hear the words of Jesus Christ once more – in the hopes that you might then heed them in your dealings with homosexuals … Peace!
“Beware of practicing your piety before others in order to be seen by them; for then you have no reward from your Father in Heaven … Be perfect [in Love] as [the Love of] your heavenly Father is perfect … Do not judge others, so that you might also not be judged. For with the judgment you make you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you receive in return.” ~ Jesus Christ (Matthew 6:1 + Matthew 5:48 + Matthew 7:1-2)
“You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and that it is they that testify on my behalf. Yet you refuse to follow me to have life … For I have set you an example; that you should do as I have done for you … Very truly, if you understand these things, you are blessed while you do them. … The Kingdom of God is not coming with things that can be observed; nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘Look, there it is!’ For, in fact, the Kingdom of God is already within you … Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Indeed, whoever becomes humble like this young child is the greatest in the Kingdom … And on that day you will know that I am in my Father, and that you are in me, and that I am in you. They who have my commandments and keep them are those who Love me; and those who Love me will be Loved by my Father … Those who Love me will keep my word, and my Father will Love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them … And this is my Commandment: that you Love one another just as I have Loved you.” ~ Jesus Christ (John 5:39-40 + John 13:15-17 + Luke 17:20-21 + Matthew 18:3-4 + John 14:20-23 + John 15:12)
