“So hard it is to persuade the Lord to give them a particle of grace!”

 

Of course, we all know that is anything but the Truth … As Jesus understood so well, Grace – at least for the Father of Christ – is a constant given; never a mere passing gift.

 

“In the beginning was the Logos, and the Logos was with God, and the Logos was God.  It was in the beginning with God.  All things came into being through it, and without it not one thing came into being. What has come into being  in it was life, and the life was the light of all people … The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world.  It was in the world, and the world came into being through it; yet the world did not know it …

But to all who received its emissary – all who believed in his name and followed his Way, it gave the power to become Children of God … Indeed, from its fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.  The law indeed was given through Moses; and yet grace and truth came through its representative: Jesus Christ.” ~ John 1:1-17

 

“If you love me, you will keep my commandments.  And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to be with you forever.  This is the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees it nor knows it. You know it, because it abides with you, and it will be within you … And on that day you will know that I am in my Father, and that you are in me, and that I am in you.” ~ Jesus Christ (John 14:15-20)
