Page 961 … The Fruit of the Spirit
“Many would recognize that referring to ‘our personalities’ as an excuse for behaving ungodly is [still] sin. In fact, regardless of how unique God has made each of us, the Bible clearly states that all are to have evidence of the Fruit of the Spirit.”
YES, my dear Lucy, now you are onto it! Now you seem to understand that it is not what we believe about Jesus himself that counts, but rather how we bring his Way into action – that it is not who we have been told we are that counts, but rather how we use our God-given talents to help ease burdens of others – that it is not what we have learned from our parents or our preachers that counts, but rather what we do for others with what we have learned … That is the path that bears the Fruit of the Spirit, and that is The Way of Jesus Christ!
So please, my dear Friend – consider dropping the arrogant hypocrisy and letting go of the callous judgment when it comes to criticizing the sins of homosexuals … Please consider walking the humble Way of Christ instead, and please consider doing so today!
“Hear then the Parable of the Sower. When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what is sown in the heart; this is what was sown on the path. As for what was sown on rocky ground, this is the one who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; yet such a person has no root, but endures only for a while, and when trouble or persecution arises on account of the word, that person immediately stumbles. As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the lure of wealth choke the word, and it yields nothing. But as for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty” ~ Jesus Christ (Matthew 13:18-23 … see also Mark 4:14-20 & Luke 8:11-15)
