Page 964 … Deceiving our Selves
“We can often deceive ourselves with our excuses, and justify remaining in sin and committing more sins.”
Yes, Lucy, that is so true – and the focus on this Truth must remain on the word “We” … For it is we who must cease deceiving ourselves; it is we who must stop justifying our own sins; and it is we who must do so to regulate ourselves; not to regulate the sins of others!
And besides, if the Bible is indeed holy, then the Bible must also be wholly just. And if the Bible is truly just, then it must teach that we will reap what we sow – and only what we sow. And it should therefore come as no surprise to you that this is exactly what the Bible does indeed teach – meaning that both homosexuals like Oliver Clyde Allen and heterosexuals like you & yours will all indeed reap the justly proportionate consequences for any & all sins they commit. And as such it is indeed fully inappropriate for you to hypocrticially (and in the case at hand, quite innacurately) judge their sinful behaviors in any way whatsoever!
“I the Lord test the mind and search the heart; to give to all according to their ways, and to each according to the fruit of their doings.” ~ Jeremiah 17:10
“For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.” ~ Jesus (Luke 6:38b)
“Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.” ~ Galatians 6:7
“And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Also another book was opened, the book of life. And the dead were judged according to their works” ~ Revelation 20:12
