Honing Hillary … (01/24/16)
It would be incorrect to call out the Republicans (as I have justly done on a number of occassions) without giving mainstream Democrats their equal due … It is more than fair to say that while the Republicans are blatantly fascist in their approach to minorities & the poor, the Democrats are subtly (and dangerously) not much better.
A few days ago Hillary Clinton stood before the American people and slimily crooned: “I remember well when my youth minister took me to hear Dr. King. I was a teenager. And his moral clarity, the message that he conveyed that evening really stayed with me and helped to set me on a path to service.”
And yet what of 1964, Mrs. Clinton, when you had the gall to openly
suopport Barry Goldwater, a candidate who publicly promised to OVERTURN the Civil Rights Act? Why the dramatic shift, Hillary? I’ll tell you why — because, just like the vast majority of your Democratic counterparts — you want to run the show; YOUR show.
Indeed, Hillary Clinton’s support for Big Oil & Big Banks & Big Insurance & Big Pharma & Big Military (including the disastrous — and disastrously immoral — overthrow of Qadaffi in Libya that led to the deaths of over 50,000 innocent civilians and in part allowed ISIS to blossom) make her actually a far worse candidate than her Republican opponents … At least with the latter, we know where they stand, however repugnant & vile that foundation of stance might be.
Many of you want to vote for Hillary because she is a woman … and to you I say: This would be a HUGE mistake; for much the same reason that Blacks voting for Obama merely because he is Black has obviously been a huge mistake. American politiciansin both parties have proven over & over & over again that they don’t give a flying flip about you — or justice — or democracy — or freedom. They care about the American Dream — THEIR American Dream; and they care about their own dream and their own dream alone. The Republicans come right out and say as much, and yet Hillary’s voting record shouts the same unethical BS just as loudly & just as clearly.
So don’t be fooled again, my American Friends. Unless you are willing to vote for a candidate who truly cares about what is Right & Good & Decent, don’t vote at all. Your country’s political system is indeed irreparably broken (and Bernie, by the way, will NOT be able to fix it), and yet your lives and your communities need not be. Start being the change you wish to see, my Friends, and start doing what needs to be done …
Rest assured: your “leaders” will most certainly NOT be doing so.
