Letting Freedom RING … (01/23/16)
Persecution anywhere is persecution eveywhere, and injustice tolerated is injustice defended. It is true indeed that those who stand silently by and do nothing against acts of opporession have in truth actively taken the side of the oppresors; that those who stand by and do nothing while innocent men & women & animals are confined & abused & rejected & ridiculed are the most important allies of the evil ones actively pereptrating that confinig & that abusing & that rejecting & that ridilculing.
My dear friends, either you stand up loud & proud against unjust oppression, or you become the oppressor … period.
If you do not stand up against ISIS, you are supporting the evils of ISIS in the Middle East … If you do not stand up against Israel, you are supporting the evils of Israel in Gaza … If you do not stand up against Obama (and his pro-war cronies), you are supporting the evils of America’s repulsive Drone War … If you do not stand up against Donald Trump, you are supporting his ignorance & his racist xenophobia … If you do not stand up against Hillary Clinton, you are supporting her lies & her greed & her corruption.
Freedom is crumbling all around us, my Friends, and it is no longer enough for us to merely refuse to participate in the wickedness that is causing it to crumble. No, the time has come for us to DO SOMETHING for Freedom. The time has come for us to stand TOGETHER — and shout TOGETHER — and resist TOGETHER — and dance TOGETHER.
The time has come for Peace, and the time has come for Courage — and without the latter, the former will not survive.
