Addiction #19 – Thinking (Part 4 … The Smooth Path) 05/10/12
The Path to PEACE-fullness: another WAY
There is an alternative to the Long Road mentioned in the last post … This “Express Lane” to the Summit takes the mind’s “middle man” right out of the equation. Instead of taking years to master your meditation, perfect your prayer or expose your ego, it is possible to skip all that struggle & strife and live real, deep-seated Contentment in every moment of your life — starting with this moment Right NOW.
All you have to do is be Kind when you would rather look away, be Caring when you are tired or in pain, be Forgiving when you are angry, or be Loving when you are afraid.
Einstein was a pretty clever man, and he knew very well that we will never solve our difficulties by using the same self-focused thinking that created them in the first place.
So you can take the Long Road to Happiness if you wish … Eventually you will get so tired of trying to repair your life and repair others and repair yourself that you will finally just let go and take the short-cut to the Top.
You will finally give it all up and just choose to be Kind anyway.
You will finally choose to put your Heart where your mind is.
Maybe you will keep on struggling for awhile to “make life better” for yourself. Even though it is exhausting (and ultimately futile), it certainly is your right to try … It will take quite some time to “make it”, and yet “make it” you eventually will … After all, if we just keep pluggin away, we will all find real Peace someday.
Then again, why wait for someday?
