Rebirthing the Moment … (03/16/11)

“My friends, every day do something that won’t compute.

Love your God by Loving the world …

Work often for nothing …

Take all that you have and be rich in your giving.

Love someone who “does not deserve it”.

Denounce your governments and embrace your flags …

Do so by daring to live courageously in the free republic for which they stand.

Give your humble approval to all you do not understand …

Praise the ignorance of yourself and others; for what humankind does not pretend to comprehend is never destroyed.

Ask the questions that have no answers.

Invest in the millennium … Plant sequoias.

And say that your main crop is the forest that you did not yet plant,

… the one that you will not live to harvest.

Say that its leaves are harvested only when they have rotted into the humus and only call that total sacrifice “profit” … Have the boldness to live accordingly — giving all, and taking nothing.

Listen to the things that perish and pass on … Put your ear close to them, and know the faint whisper of the songs that their lives will forever sing.

Even though you have considered “all the facts”, be joyful because of them.

Expect the end of the world … and laugh.

As women do not lust for power, please women.

Before acting, ask yourself:  Would this disturb the sleep of a woman near to giving birth?

Will this bring Joy to those who love to Love?

Then go with your Love to the fields and lie down in the shade …

Rest your head in her lap, and swear allegiance to what is nighest your Heart.

And as soon as the generals and the politicians start predicting the motions of your mind, lose it.

Leave it behind by the wayside as a sign to mark the false trail; the way you didn’t choose to go.

Do this, my friends, and finally — in every end & every beginning, you will know a resurrection.”
