Over the course of human history, we have shown that we have always been very adept at being nice to our friends — at being “kind” when it is easy to do so.

And yet, while this friendliness is definitely a good thing to further, it is not going to bring us any further as a species, and it certainly won’t bring us any further as individuals.

To get different results, we must engage different behaviors. To attain real Peace & lasting Joy in our lives, we must not only be nice to those who are being nice to us, we must choose to be Kind to those who are not … period.

We’ve tried everything else over the past 10,000+ years, and nothing has brought any real change. It’s time to try something new … It’s time to try some courageous Kindness.

So do an anonymous Kind deed for a friend … Extend some real Caring to a stranger … Have the guts to forgive an enemy.

LOVE becomes powerful in those moments when it is difficult to give but is given anyway …
