Who I AM …
The following traits are not the particular wants and favorites of my own ego-self, but rather are facets of my True-Being; facets of the True Self who reside within us all … With that in mind, here is a description of the same:
*I fully comprehend my inability to truly understand “the truth” — and yet some concepts I have mastered …
*I approach perfection by forgiving myself ahead of time …
*I persist in being mySelf despite the criticism of my friends & the rejection of my enemies …
*Wherever I am, I refuse to draw the shades …
*No matter what happens, I am grateful for my life …
*I regularly pause to sit in sunbeams & bathe in rainstorms …
*I caress plants, smile at butterflies and speak with all animals …
*I see the best in others — while expecting nothing of the sort in return …
*I live vicariously through myself …
*I resist the temptation to resist temptation — I am willingly self-disciplined …
*I remind myself that I am alive to serve others; seeking, finding and engaging my endless opportunities to lessen others’ pains or enhance their joys …
*I always give to those who beg of me …
*I choose to see the amazing in the “normal” …
*I save worms lost on sidewalks after rainstorms …
*I broke a thumb and yet still caught the ball …
*I have bathed regularly in waters Holy …
*I got thrown out but chose to remain in The Game …
*I revere the teachings of all Saints, without succumbing to any of the religious requirements that came thereafter …
*I lean into the next moment while living in the current one …
*I have been lied to, and yet continue to tell the Truth …
*I allow seemingly random happenstance to govern all my important decisions …
*I fully realize that I am no better than any other living being …
*I have left my friends in order to befriend all of Humanity …
*I realize that I am often judged to be “crazy” — by a culture that is obviously insane …
*I am prejudiced only against prejudice …
*I demand nothing — and give the rest away willingly …
*There are times when my wings are broken, and yet still I continue to sing …
*I have learned to sail life’s smooth waters by first navigating its storms …
*I do not wait to become famous to wear the “dark glasses” of humility, but don them ahead of time in the hopes of remaining powerfully anonymous …
*My morality’s chain has only one link — selfless Love …
*I sense what others would take from me and give it freely to them before they can do so …
*I flee joyfully into the challenge of all things both nearby & “dangerous” …
*There are no sides to any of my disputes …
*My sincere compassion easily overcomes the “strongest” of my competitors …
*I know that a “good start” is half the work — because I realize that The Work has no end.
