Day 085b: To learn the world’s language … (July 08, 2019)

To live well is to learn the world’s language, and by language I don’t mean the prevalent form of communication in one’s home or region. I mean the language of the rocks and the animals and all growing things. I mean the language you don’t hear just with your ears – the language of interconnectedness; the language of oneness; the language of stewardship; the language of caring. Some would call this language the Mystery of Life, and yet that is definitely not the case. The Mystery of Life is not a method of communication or a problem to solve, but rather a reality of being. Of course, it is also just as true that no process can ever be understood by stopping it. Understanding of any dynamic – life included – must choose to move with the flow of its process; must to join it and harmonize with it and care for it – and thereby flow with it.” ~ inspired byFrank Herbert
