I passed by a closed roadside chapel just on the far outskirts of town and Father Ignacio just happened to be there. It was still oppressively hot and I asked him if I might be let into the church to sit awhile in cooler reverie. He stated that he was about to leave and that as such this was not going to be possible, and yet he was intrigued enough to ask me about my journey – and then inspired enough by the same to kindly offer me a loaf of relatively fresh communion bread from a box in the trunk of his car …
