Day 087s: Lapping UP the luxury … (July 10, 2019)

I am still not sure that the same was a premonition of sorts, warning me that Hontanas was not going to be as potent a megaphone for The Way my walk was intended to share as I had originally hoped it would be, and yet it is worth noting that this particular hostel was one of the few places along my entire pilgrimage where it was almost impossible for me to find a more humble place to lay my head than the softer one offered. Yes, I humbly admit that my body physically reveled in the finer rest that this lusher-than-usual sleeping arrangement provided, and yet a deeper part of me wondered whether accepting gifts like these didn’t dampen the Power of my Walk – whether soaking in any form of luxury didn’t make it easier for others witnessing the same to discount the potency of my Journey, and thereby dismiss the greater Message it was designed to inspire …
