Day 087e: A perfect summer’s day … (July 10, 2019)
I then easily made my way into the lovely peaceful town of Rabe de las Culzadas …

“It was in truth a perfect summer day. The air was sweet and gentle and the sky stretched high and wide, an immense intense blue. He gazed around him in wonder, certain that the last time he had peered through the net drapes of his home, the trees and hedges were dark bones and spindles against the skyline. And yet now that he was out and on his feet, walking, it was as if everywhere he looked the fields and the gardens and the forests and the hedgerows had exploded with green & growth. There were startling yellow clouds of flowers by the wayside, interspersed with trails of purple, and a young willow swayed in the breeze; its leaves a fountain of silver. He was in awe of his life and the moment, and the abundance of life was enough to make him shout with thanks-filled joy.” ~ inspired by Rachel Joyce
