Day 083w: Another reverent Repeat … (July 06, 2019)
After dinner I chose to sit outside and soak up a level of profound calm and soul-full gratitude that I had not known in many a moon – well, in at least the past few days … 😉
“In this beautiful life I wish to keep walking gently. I want to treat all of life – all its people and all our sentient cousins – with the overflowing reverence they each are due. I want to remove my shoes in the presence of holy ground, while remembering that all the Earth is sacred. And as much as possible, that is to say – every single moment of every single day – I want to walk in peace. I want to laugh easily and care recklessly and forgive courageously. I want to step Care-fully (not carefully) into and out of all the lives I meet along the way. I want to tread there bravely, and yet never heavier than is absolutely necessary. I wish to walk confidently, but without arrogance; deep in appreciation, but never lost in mere thought. I want to be earnestly thankful for all of this life’s extravagant, yet simple, gifts – a star-splattered night sky, a hot drink on an ice-cold day, revelry with companions, and chances to care for strangers.
