Day 079i: When the Heart shrugs & smiles … (July 02, 2019)

The conversation with Stephane proved to be as scintillating and as inspirational on our last day together as it had been during our first, and we bliss-fully shared those last miles of togetherness – sometimes giving each other space for solitude, and other times immersing each other in thoughts deeper & encouraging* …

I hold this to be one of the two highest tasks of any glowing bond between two people: first, that each should stand guard over the Solitude of the other, and second, that the greatest compliment that can ever be paid was when one asked the other what was thought, and then wholeheartedly attended to their answer – even if that answer was but a shrug & a smile.” ~ inspired by Rainer Maria Rilke & Henry David Thoreau

*On swallows being the aerial equivalent of dolphins, and on God’s infinite Love that can do nothing less than rain down steadily and perceptually upon us all, and on how to summon Providence (smile while serving others caringly and having a solid faith that said Love will – at some point maybe never witnessed – summon forth the goodness of Peace &/or Joy), and on equating the human experience with a child flying a kite (where we are each the child, where our Souls are the kite, and where unconditional Love is the wind).
