Day 079f: Passing over the many to refind the One … (July 02, 2019)

Whenever I am walking a pilgrimage – kind of like whenever I am walking through life itself – I try to “read” new situations before choosing to immerse myself in them. Most of the time it is obviously Right Action to engage the others we encounter, of course, and yet sometimes the “vibe” is strongly “off” for whatever reason, and I have found that, while it is wise to always err on the side of taking a Leap of faith and saying hello, it is indeed sometimes wise to simply smile and wave and flow onward without stopping. The latter proved to be the case at the pilgrims’ rest-stop pictured below. Maybe it was the relatively raucous attitude of those collectively gathered, or maybe there was something else more than slightly “amiss” – no matter, I paused here long enough to recognize the clear call to move on, and then on I moved – and rediscovered my dear friend Stephane sitting by the side of the Path shortly thereafter!

When you reach the end of what you have been told you should know, you will arrive at the beginning of what you can sense … True intuition is always right in at least two important ways: one, it is always in response to immediate circumstance, and two,it always has the best interest of the Whole at heart.” ~ via Kahlil Gibran & Gavin De Becker

When in doubt, always choose the heart over the head. This does not mean to deny your own experiences and that which you have empirically learned through the years. It means to trust your truer Self to integrate intuition with those experiences. There is a harmony between the two to be nurtured, between the head and the heart. And when your intuition rings clear and true, loving impulses are always the ones favored.” ~ via Brian Weiss
