Day 089v: Bonding with the Boden … (July 12, 2019)
I whisper -chatted with a fellow pilgrim far into the night, and then – after everyone else had fallen fast asleep – I snuck my bedding out the hostels’ sleeping quarters and humbly hunkered down on the kitchen floor for the night; partly to keep my fellow pilgrims from suffering through my potential snoring, and partly to intentionally embody the heartfelt gratitude I felt for the kindness shown to me throughout this challenging day …
“The seeker of meaning must be humbler than the dust. The world crushes the dust under its feet, and yet the seeker of meaning must so humble himself that even the thinnest layer of dust would crush him. Only then, and not until then, will he have a glimpse of truth. Only then, and not until then, will he know meaning.” ~ via Mahatma Gandhi
