Day 088e: A willingness to Move … (July 11, 2019)

How thankful I was a bit later that day when Father Fran asked me to come over to his hostel once more to help two fellow mendicants (Bogdan & “Micha” – recently homeless Spaniards who were living at the hostel for a time) with a humble task they were fulfilling for the church. And then, shortly after having returned from completing Service #01, I was doubly blessed by being asked to help out elsewhere – this time with the installment of a pair of larger shade-tents for a group of Benedictine nuns from Africa who were attending a religious convention in town …

In truth everybody can be great, for the simple reason that anybody can – at any time and in any place – find a way to serve others. And we don’t have to have a college degree to serve them, and we don’t have to make our subjects eloquently agree with our verbs to do so either. We only need a heart full of grace, a Soul inspired by love, and the willingness to move.” ~ via Martin Luther King Jr.
