Day 084a: UP and TO ’em … (July 07, 2019)
Rising super early and setting forth into the thick calm of the pre-dawn morning was always a special Joy along The Way – this particular morning was no exception …

“And with this steady passage of days walking through this godly isolation wilderness, my heart grew calm just as steadily. It seemed to slowly fill with answers as I moved, and I found myself not asking as many questions about life or my place in it. I became somehow certain of everything — where humanity came from, where we are, and even where we could well go; what our purpose is on this gorgeous Earth. It all struck me as extremely sure and simple along this God-trodden path, as little by little my blood took on the cadence of the divine. Every step became a liturgy, and every chance meeting a revelation. The Sun rising slowly in the morning and then setting gently in the evening; the constellations suspended like chandeliers each night over the monastery that was my Walk – all of it came and went, came and went, came & went in willing obedience to all the eternal laws. And it drew the blood of all its travelers into the same placid rhythm. I saw the world as a tree, a gigantic oak, and I knew myself and all my fellow pilgrims as green leaves growing and swaying upon thick steady branches. And then when God’s wind blew, we all hopped and danced as one, together with the entire tree.” ~ inspired by Nikos Kazantzakis
