Day 083k: Graffiti gracing The Way … (July 06, 2019)
I tended to deeply enjoy the Meaning-full roadside artwork (aka graffiti) that so often graced The Way, in this case first providing as reminder that there is both light & color within everything seemingly fully shadowed, and secondly that – as long as we persist in the courage to set forth boldly into each day – we will all inevitably find our way Home …

“Though we travel the world over in search of the beautiful, we must carry it within us, or we will find it not … And so it is that to be taught to read is of no use, unless you learn beforehand to distinguish what is false from what is true. And so it is that to be taught to write or speak is of no use, unless we first have something to meaningfully convey. And so it is that to be taught to think is of no use, unless we are first instilled with a desire to ponder goodness & beauty. And so it is that to be taught to see is the greatest of all teachings, for to gain the gift of True Sight – the ability to see the wondrous in the normal and the friend in every enemy and the blessing in every trial or tribulation – this is what it is to gain access to all word and thought that bears any worth & worthwhile guidance.” ~ inspired by Ralph Waldo Emerson & John Ruskin
