Day 082p: As the next poem rises … (July 05, 2019)
“Walking itself often causes a repetitive, spontaneous poetry to rise naturally from the heart to the mind – and sometimes even to the lips; words as simple as the footsteps that thump along the path, and yet simultaneously as pungent as the floral fragrances that often line the road. This deep-seated bonding with the path will seem odd to many – especially those who have never walked any sizable distance in silence – and yet this is only so because so may still think of walking as the spatiotemporal displacement of already completed beings from one point to another, rather than as the flowing immersion of those same beings within a particular environment. Both plants and people, we could say, ‘issue forth’ along such lines of growth & immersion, and both of them exist as the sum of their respective trails” ~ inspired by Frédéric Gros & Tim Ingold
