Day 082l: Peace even in our Parting … (July 05, 2019)
We marched smoothly into & through the town of Sansol, and eventually reached the larger hamlet of Torres del Rio, where Nina & Thomas & Fiona had already settled into their wayside hostel – both for the afternoon and the night. Mate & I knew we were to flow onward that day – and knew as well that our higher tempo would probably outstrip the progress of our other three compatriots, and so it was that gentle & deeply caring farewells were exchanged with these dearest of friends before we then moved on* …

“What greater thing is there for human souls than to know that they have met more than well, and as such that they are now joined for life … Indeed, this is why goodbyes are only for those who love hollowly with but their eyes. For those who truly Love – those who truly cherish others with their hearts by honoring them with both heartfelt attention & tender deeds – there is & never can be such a thing as separation.” ~ inspired by George Eliot & Rumi
*I was indeed greatly blessed to see Nina again in Santiago, and yet this was indeed the last time I saw either Thomas or Fiona.
