Day 078s: The Open behind the Closed … (July 01, 2019)

Near the bottom of the trail – and very near to Roncevalles itself – we came across a small pathside church. It was locked up tight at the time, and yet it was possible to peer through its closed doors upon the wide-open Beauty that lived therein …

I am convinced that it is the jealous, the angry, and the egotistical who are the first to race to the top of mountains. The truly faithful person, on the other hand, takes their time and deeply enjoys the journey, seeing life as a blessing instead of a competition, and thus fully reveling in the beauties seen and the people met along the way.
