Day 077m: On bringing the Peace … (June 30, 2019)

Shortly thereafter I passed by this lovely little pathside garden a few miles outside of St. Jean, and was reminded that we need not travel anywhere at all to find Meaning; that to live a powerful and Peace-full life we have but to do what we can to bring Peace to wherever we already are …

The single greatest lesson the garden teaches is that our relationship to the planet need never be zero-sum; that as long as the Sun shines and people still can plan and plant and dream and do, we can, if we bother to try and persist in our trying, find ways not only to provide for ourselves without harming others, but also enhance the beauty & harmony of our lives without diminishing the world in the slightest.” ~ via Michael Pollan

There are two missions we are compelled to carry out during our Life Journey. The first is to rediscover the uniquely potent talents & gifts we have all been given, and the second is simply to Do Good for others therewith. As such, you would be wise to engrave it in your mind that life is simply one big board game where you have to make it from start to finish by Being Good. That is all you have to do – Be Good, Be Kind, Be Generous, Be Compassionate. The hardest part, of course, is dealing with all the obstacles that prevent the smooth enlivening thereof. The trick is to simply & earnestly intend to be your Higher Self in all situations – regardless of personal cost to you; indeed, especially when that cost is great.” ~ via Suzy Kassem
