\u201cWhat was immoral in the Old Testament is still immoral in the New \u2026 The New Testament says that homosexuality is a \u201cshameful lust\u201d (Romans 1:26), a \u201cshameful act,\u201d an abandonment of \u201cnatural relations\u201d (Romans 1:27), a \u201cwrongdoing\u201d (1 Corinthians 6:9), and \u201csexual immorality and perversion\u201d (Jude 1:7).\u00a0 Homosexuality carries a \u201cdue penalty\u201d (Romans 1:27), \u201cis contrary to the sound doctrine\u201d (1 Timothy 1:10), and is listed among the sins that bar people from the Kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9).\u00a0\u00a0 Despite the attempts of some to downplay these verses, the Bible could not be clearer that homosexuality is a sin against God.\u201d<\/p>\n

Heavens to Betsy, Lucy!\u00a0 I have already shown you on numerous occasions how Paul\u2019s theology directly contradicts Jesus\u2019 teachings (most recently on pages 202-203 herein), how Romans 1:26-27 has nothing at all to do with homosexuality itself (see pages 64-65 herein), and how 1 Corinthians 6 is actually more a call for you<\/em><\/strong> to humble your<\/em><\/strong>self and get your own<\/em><\/strong> cup clean than it is for you & yours to call out homosexuals and criticize their own potentially blemished chalices (see page 456 previously, &\/or refer to page 471 hereafter).<\/p>\n

Besides, we aren\u2019t even talking about homosexuals who might be atheists (or Buddhists or Muslims, or Hindus \u2013 or even Followers of The Way of Christ) in this thread, Lucy.\u00a0 We are talking about two homosexuals \u2013 Oliver Clyde Allen & his husband Rashad \u2013 who are both devout Christians<\/strong> \u2026 And we aren\u2019t talking about homosexuals who are engaged in lives filled with immoral deeds of lust and perversion.\u00a0 We are talking about two men who sincerely Love each other \u2026 And we are also talking about the fact that you still maintain that it would not be acceptable or appropriate for Christians to go and hear Bishop Allen preach the Gospel of Christ, merely became you are personally uncomfortable with his sexuality.\u00a0 That<\/em><\/strong> is bigotry, Lucy.\u00a0 And that<\/em><\/strong> has nothing at all to do with the teachings of Jesus \u2013 or even many of the rest of the teachings in the entire Bible, for that matter!<\/p>\n

And on top of that, making such a baseless claim innately means that you are also claiming that Jesus Christ would somehow have supported these vile Old Testament edicts and many more like them \u2013 something that any reader of the Gospels simply cannot reasonably accept.\u00a0 Would Jesus really affirm the genocide of Genesis 7:23?\u00a0 NO<\/strong>, he wouldn\u2019t! (\u201cBlessed are the peacemakers.\u201d ~ Matthew 5:9) \u00a0\u2026 Would Jesus really champion the infanticide of Exodus 12:39-40?\u00a0 NO<\/strong>, he wouldn\u2019t! (\u201cLet the little children come to me, \u2026 for it is to such as these that the Kingdom of Heaven belongs.\u201d ~ Matthew 19:14) \u2026 Would Jesus really encourage the mass murder of innocent men & women, merely because they happen to worship a different god?\u00a0\u00a0 NO<\/strong>, he most certainly would not<\/strong>!
