No<\/strong>, my dear Lucy, the Truth of the matter is that Jesus himself would loudly & firmly differ with you once again.\u00a0 \u00a0For the only truly good news is the<\/em><\/strong> Good News \u2013 the Gospel of Jesus Christ \u2013 his<\/em><\/strong> Good News:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

* \u2026 a Gospel that reminds us all<\/em><\/strong> that the Kingdom of Heaven is available right now<\/strong> in every waking moment of our lives (see Matthew 10:7 + Luke 17:20-21);<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

* \u2026 a Gospel that it is available to all <\/em><\/strong>\u00a0those (Christian & non-Christian; gay & straight alike) who are willing to drop their conservative condemnations of others and enter instead into a life of Loving them (see Matthew 18:3-4 + John 13:15-17);<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

* \u2026 a Gospel that is here for all<\/em><\/strong> who are willing to realize that we are indeed all<\/em><\/strong> \u201csinners\u201d \u2013 that none<\/em><\/strong> of us have attained the measure of perfection required to have the necessary standing to condemn or even mildly criticize the victimless sins of anyone else (see Matthew 23:25-26 + Matthew 7:1-5);<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

* \u2026 a Gospel that is open to all<\/em><\/strong> who would replace our arrogant (and often ignorant) certainties about the Scriptures and the nature of God with a humble Faith in a Bible of a far greater Wisdom \u2013 and a heavenly Father of far greater Grace (see Matthew 7:21 + Luke 6:36);<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

* \u2026 and a Gospel available to all<\/em><\/strong> who would come to realize that it is a sin in & of itself to damn anyone merely for being who she or he was born to be \u2013 that to do so; to morally equate\u00a0 another person\u2019s innate (or even his or her chosen) expression of Love with the violent crimes of theft or murder is in & of itself a mortal sin<\/strong> \u2013 that to do so is in & oft itself a direct violation of everything Jesus preached and everything he commanded \u2013 that to do so is in & of itself the very deed that most demands repentance<\/em><\/strong>!<\/p>\n

\u201cThe time is<\/em><\/strong> fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is<\/em><\/strong> at hand: Repent<\/strong> therefore, and believe my<\/em><\/strong> Gospel.\u201d ~ Jesus<\/strong> Christ (Mark 1:15)<\/p>\n
