\u201cWe are not saved on the basis of simply saying we believe Jesus existed, or that he was a great guy, or that he was a prophet, or that he was a wonderful teacher … [We are saved] on the basis of our continued belief that Jesus Christ is Lord and that he will ultimately save us and give us eternal life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Again, my Friend, just like the sentences that preceded it, this statement is not<\/em><\/strong> in harmony with the teachings of Jesus in the Gospels.\u00a0 While it is true enough that we might<\/em> indeed be given eternal life by the Father after we die (and sadly, that it is also possible that God\u2019s Grace is not complete, meaning that only conservative Christians will receive this \u201cgift\u201d), such a bestowal is most certainly not<\/em><\/strong> what Jesus<\/strong> came to give \u2026 Please consider the following Scriptures that combine to clearly show this to be so:<\/p>\n

\u201cThose who believe in me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives<\/em><\/strong> and believes in me will never die \u2026 Whoever believes in me will DO the works I do<\/em><\/strong>.\u201d ~ Jesus<\/strong> Christ (John 11:25-26 + John 14:12)<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy do you call me good? \u00a0No one is good but God alone<\/em><\/strong> \u2026 For I have set you an example, that you also should do as I have done<\/em><\/strong> for you \u2026 If you understand these things, you are blessed<\/em><\/strong> while you DO THEM<\/em><\/strong>.\u201d ~ Jesus<\/strong> Christ (Mark 10:18 + John 13:15-17)<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Kingdom of God is not coming in the future with things that can be observed;\u00a0<\/sup>nor will they say, \u2018Look, here it is!\u2019 or \u2018Look, there it is!\u2019 \u00a0For, in fact, the Kingdom of God is<\/em><\/strong> already within you<\/em><\/strong>.\u201d ~ Jesus<\/strong> Christ (Luke 17:20-21)<\/p>\n

\u201cVery truly, anyone who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life, and does not come under judgment, but has<\/em><\/strong> passed from death to life \u2026 Very truly, whoever believes has<\/em><\/strong> eternal life \u2026 Very truly, the one who believes in me will also<\/em><\/strong> do the works<\/em><\/strong> that I do.\u201d ~ Jesus<\/strong> Christ (John 5:24 + John 6:47 + John 14:12)<\/p>\n

\u201cNot everyone who says to me, \u2018Lord, Lord,\u2019 will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but only the one who<\/em><\/strong> DOES<\/em><\/strong> the will of my Father in Heaven \u2026 And my Father is glorified by this: that you bear much fruit<\/em><\/strong> and become my disciples \u2026 And by this everyone will know that you are my disciples: when you show Love towards one another<\/em><\/strong>.\u201d ~ Jesus<\/strong> Christ (Matthew 7:21 + John 15:8 + John 13:35)<\/p>\n
