Before we move on I think it\u2019s time to get us back on track again, my Friend.\u00a0 You and I have drifted far into the depths of Christianity, both its traditional Paulinism & The Way of Christ \u2013 a departure from the main point of this thread that has been admittedly quite enjoyable for me, and yet for those reading along it might be nice to remember what this conversation is actually<\/em> all about.\u00a0 As such, I once again offer the following primary overviews of this thread; three over-arching Truths<\/strong> that apply to every single argument either of us has made or ever will make herein \u2026 \u00a0Please consider them again:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Truth #01<\/strong>:\u00a0 While I have clearly shown that the Bible does indeed offer a far<\/em><\/strong> more Loving, far<\/em><\/strong> more just and far<\/em><\/strong> more peaceful God, you continue to scratch & claw to \u201cprove\u201d a God whose Grace is severely limited, a God whose \u201clove\u201d is disturbingly conditional, and a God whose sense of \u201cjustice\u201d is as warped as it is immoral.\u00a0 And you are doing so even after I have given you thousands<\/em> of verses of Scripture in this thread alone that show quite clearly that —<\/p>\n

THERE IS NO NEED TO WORSHIP AN IMMORAL GOD TO BE A \u201cGOOD CHRISTIAN\u201d<\/em><\/strong> !<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Truth #02<\/strong>:\u00a0 By clinging to such unnecessarily conservative interpretations of the Scriptures, you & yours are completely abandoning any hope you might have of one day entering Jesus<\/em><\/strong>\u2019 \u201cKingdom of Heaven\u201d (alone the proclamations made in Matthew 18:3-4 + Matthew 7:1-5 assure you of this fate).\u00a0 And why?\u00a0 \u00a0For the supposed guarantee of going to a \u201cheaven\u201d after you die that (if any semblance of justice & moral decency remain in your Heart after that ascension), will feel actually far more like a nagging version of Hell \u2026<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Truth #03<\/strong>:\u00a0 And even if you do<\/strong> happen to be correct, and God does<\/strong> turn out to be the celestial despot you make Him out to be, then every single Soul who makes it to His \u201cheaven\u201d will actually be morally obligated to rebel against<\/em> His cruel & unjust ways \u2013 if not at the very least openly protest His disturbing lack of mercy.\u00a0 And rest assured, my dear Sister, if<\/em><\/strong> Jesus is even half the man the Gospels portray him to be, then he will be the one leading those very protests \u2013 and he will be the one at the very front of that rebellion!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cThe Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring the Good News to the poor.\u00a0 He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind;\u00a0to let the oppressed go free<\/em><\/strong>.\u201d ~ Jesus<\/strong> Christ (Luke 4:18)<\/p>\n

\u201cAs he was setting out on a journey, a man ran up and knelt before Jesus, and asked him, \u2018Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?\u2019 \u00a0\u00a0<\/sup>And Jesus said to him, \u2018Why do you call me good? No one is good but God alone. 1 <\/sup>\u00a0You know the commandments: You shall not murder; You shall not commit adultery; You shall not steal; You shall not bear false witness; You shall not defraud; Honor your father and mother.\u2019 And the man said to him, \u2018Teacher, I have kept all these since my youth.\u2019 \u00a0<\/sup>Jesus, looking at him, loved him and said, \u2018You lack only one thing:\u00a0 Go, sell what all that you own, and give the proceeds to the poor, and then you will have treasure in Heaven. P.S.<\/strong> \u00a0My dear Lucy, even according to the most constrained fundamentalist reading of the Scriptures, homosexuality itsef is never once mentioned as a sin therein!\u00a0 As such, I wonder once more and ask you once again: \u00a0Why again won\u2019t you go and listen to a devout Christian, non-sinning, homosexual preacher share the Word of God?<\/p>\n
